Tiffany Garvie - graduate: Photographer, editor, curator, broadcaster….

Tiffany Garvie graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with majors in English and Classics and Ancient History in March 2007. Tiffany is currently the Education and Community Projects Project Officer at Melbourne’s Museum Victoria where she has been for four years. Apart from writing poetry and songs, she has also been a breakfast broadcaster and journalist at 6AR Noongar Radio, 4AAA Murri Country in Brisbane and ABC Radio Breakfast Presenter in Orange.

Economics graduate awarded Harvard fellowship

UWA Arts and Economics graduate Ben Stephens has been awarded a Frank Knox Memorial Fellowship to study a Master in Public Policy at Harvard Kennedy School.

Annual Prize Giving Ceremony Winners

The Faculty of Education held its Annual Prize Giving Ceremony last night at The University Club (11 May 2015) where 100 guests were present to recognise excellence and the achievements of past and present students.

In attendance was the State Education Minister and current UWA Alumni, Hon Peter Collier together with UWA representatives and leaders within the community who kindly donated and provided their support for the event.

Emeritus ProfessorBruce Armstrongfrom the University of Sydney's School of Public Health visited UWA's School of Population Health in April. Professor Armstrong is a significant person in the history of epidemiology and public health at UWA, and has been the colleague, supervisor and mentor of some of our top WA and UWA public health professors - includingE/Professor Michael Hobbs,E/Professor D'Arcy HolmanandProfessor Fiona Stanley.
